Further experimentation lead me to designing a font, inspired by plant leaves.

Aim: Make a space or building enhanced using type.
Placing type messages upon abandoned shops windows.
Messages that say, “Take a minute to say hi", or give something small but needed like a cup of coffee to someone in need. Don't just ignore the presence of the homelessness.
Inspired by linocutting, I crafted the words into the shape of a tree. I wanted to bring the forest into the town to harmoniously incorporate the homelessness factor found commonly in the high streets up and down the country, and hide the empty shops behind windows of forests.
Bringing two sides of society together under the facade of a green, and peaceful environment. But equally to not let the target audience (passers-by) forget the homeless people with words that encourage engagement with the homeless or other social messages of encouragement.
